Bathroom Bill Filed As Budget Amendment

An amendment has been filed to the House Budget to sneak the “Bathroom Bill” into law, circumventing the legislative process that a controversial bill such as this should have to go through.
Rep. Joe Driscoll (D-Braintree) and Jason Lewis (D-Winchester) have filed this amendment that includes nearly all of the language currently in H.B. 1728, the “Bathroom Bill.” The goal of this amendment is to avoid debate and a straight “up or down” vote on this flawed and dangerous bill during an election year.
These underhanded, backroom type deals must stop. We NEED you to not only send emails, but also make PHONE CALLS to your state representative and the Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee first thing tomorrow, FRIDAY.
