I'd like to bring your attention to the recent health care debate. There are many articles and many blogs out there both touting and rebuffing the reform. What I am most encouraged by is seeing the American People come out on an individual basis to speak to their representatives as democracy intends. What greatly discourages me is much of the media and the Democratic party labeling concerned, well-spoken, thoughtful Americans as angry mobs. What is more troubling is the fact that our own congressman
John Tierney WILL NOT hold a town meeting to hear the people he represents.
This is not reflective of representing the will of the people but is reflective of representing himself. How can he represent his constituents without listening to them? His website is slow - hopefully an indicator that many are trying to hit it to contact him - but the link is as follows:
