An article was recently published in the Eagle Tribune, which unfortunately did not contain accurate information. I have lived in the town of North Andover for 4 years as of January 2009, and though I have been unable as of yet to attend Town Meeting, I have voted in 4 elections, not just 1. I regret that I have missed those opportunities to participate in our town government and have committed myself to capitalizing on every voting opportunity in the future. One of the elections I missed was due to health complications during my pregnancy with my youngest child. I appreciate everyone's support and I thank my neighbors for encouraging me to make my voting record clear. I now understand that the Eagle Tribune article was addressing local elections only. I apologize for any misunderstandings this mistake may have caused. I also encourage all those who would like to see a change in our town government to not only voice their concerns but also consider running for office to make those changes. One can't affect the outcome of a soccer game by standing on the sidelines. One has to step over the white line and get into challenging plays in order to have an impact.
