Who Am I?
My name is Karin Rhoton, and I have been elected to the School Committee. My family has lived in North Andover since January 2005. Our three boys—ages 8, 7, and 5 have already started their educational journey in our school system. As a mother, homeowner, and tax payer I wanted to use my talents and experience in order to help meet our town’s extraordinary economic challenges with practical solutions.
What Can You Expect From Me?
I believe in practical solutions. Practical solutions can be measured and evaluated. Practical solutions demand that all stakeholders commit to the goal of providing the highest quality of living to the residents of the 14th Essex District. I was raised to understand that service and civic responsibility were required from everyone. We all get involved in our community by voting, volunteering, supporting initiatives, or running for elective office. I believe that this time in my life will allow me to be most effective in service to the state of Massachusetts. Our children are our future. We need to do everything we can now to secure their continued success and growth, so they will be able to realize their full potential.
Why Now?
I believe that my life experience will prove valuable in our continued efforts to improve the state of the Merrimack Valley. As a wife and mother I have managed family time and a successful business career. In my career I have been successful in optimizing efficiencies in business process, implementing practical solutions to the challenges identified and tracking quality improvements. In my current position as Vice President of Sales and Administration, I am responsible for sales, aspects of project management and all financial operations. I believe my varied but concentrated family and work experiences will prove to be significant weapons in our battle to improve our fiscal state, public safety, and public education.
